Summary

Public: Spoon tray, soft paste porcelain, transfer printed and enamelled overglaze in black with oriental river scene and border. Private: second label partially removed, from same exhibition, only 'Stok' visible arch & rock & river & oriental architecture Spoon tray, shallow flattened hexagonal dish, fluted sides spread from foot, longer sides slightly concave. Transfer-printed scene inside. Le Chalet Double depicts rock arch in river supporting oriental buildings, to right, bridge, surmounting separate rock, with man and staff. Foreground, left blossom tree with man seated beneath, right pine tree, and foliage with fence. Distant rocky and wooded landscape. Enamelled overglaze black foliage and diaper border inner rim.
