Summary

Public: Spoon tray, soft paste porcelain, transfer-printed and enamelled overglaze in black with Chinese people in landscape. Private: Spoon tray, shallow flattened hexagonal dish, fluted sides spread from foot, longer sides slightly concave. Transfer-printed overglaze, black, inside, Les Garcons Chinois. Distant shore, tower and buildings, landscape. Foreground rococo shell and scroll among foliage. Two boys perched on scroll, left, overhanging water. Uppermost boy sits astride scroll holding crescent, edged with bells, on staff. Other boy stands below him sawing at upper scroll. Enamelled overglaze black band inner rim.
