Summary

Public: Mug, soft paste porcelain, reeded loop handle, transfer-printed overglaze, black with half-length portrait, military trophy and winged figure. Private: Mug, inverted bell-shape, tapered footring, everted rim, reeded loop handle. Transfer-printed overglaze, black. King of Prussia depicts half-length portrait of Frederick the Great in armour, ermine-lined cloak. He points to left, head facing outwards. Beneath scroll inscription 1757 / KING of PRUSSIA. Above, left, putti with laurel wreath. Military trophy with three flags giving the names of Frederick's victories, Reisburg / Prague / Collin; Welham / Rofsbach / Breslan; Neumark / Lifsa / Breslan. Centre of trophy scroll cartouche with robed figure. Trophy inscribed, bottom left RH Worcester. Fame no 2 depicts winged figure, flowing robes, facing right, blowing two horns.
