Worcester Porcelain Factory 1751

Summary

Public: Bottle shaped vase with tall, narrow neck, soft paste porcelain, printed and painted in underglaze cobalt blue with flowers, fruit and pine cones. Private: Bottle shaped vase with broad footring, rising from globular bowl to tall narrow neck with swollen bulb beneath rim. Greyish off-white body printed in underglaze blue on each side with two different floral and fruit groups, the pine cone and ripe pomegranate patterns. Painted diaper cell borders round neck, above and below neck bulb, of interlocking blue diamonds, each with central white dot. Underglaze blue has bled slightly
