Worcester Porcelain Factory 1751

Summary

Egg shaped vase with high shoulder, splayed foot and short flared neck. Painted overglaze on body in detail with large bouquet of Meissen style flowers including roses and lilies, and on opposite side of body with large butterfly and single scattered sprigs of flowers. Flower sprigs and small insects on foot and neck. Tall domed lid with narrow flat edge, painted with bouquet of flowers, butterfly and small insect. Moulded flower finial with stem and two leaves, painted purple, yellow and green.
