Summary

Public: Coffee cup and saucer, soft paste porcelain, painted underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze in green, purple, pink, iron red, blue, turquoise, black and yellow enamels and gilt. Private: Tall fluted coffee cup curving to flat base, tapering footring and ear shaped loop handle. Slightly everted, scalloped rim. Gilt scalloped edge to rim, wide border of underglaze royal blue beneath rim covered with simple foliate motif and scalloped border in gilt. Main body covered with three sprays of flowers in different colours, single flowers scattered between them. Gilt band round top of footring and gilt details on handle. Shallow fluted saucer, with curving sides and tapering footring. Upper surface decorated with same pattern of underglaze blue border with gilt decoration, and sprays of flowers and single flowers. Central circular panel defined by ring of turquoise and black husks, filled with small spray of flowers.
