Summary

Public: Coffee cup, soft paste porcelain, decorated with an underglaze blue border and floral sprays in pink, purple, iron red, green and yellow overglaze enamels and gilt. Private: Tall fluted coffee cup (24 ribs), with scalloped rim, tapered footring and ear shaped loop handle. Decorated round cup rim with wide border of underglaze royal blue, overpainted with alternating gilt guilloche and foliate patterns. Main body painted with three sprays of flowers in pink, purple, red, green and yellow, single floral sprig in purple within handle terminals. Gilt detail on handle, gilt dentil edge to cup rim.
