Summary

Public: Tureen stand, soft paste porcelain, painted in underglaze cobalt blue and purple, pink, iron red, yellow and green enamels and gilt with sprays of flowers. Private: Tureen stand of moulded diamond shape with rounded corners and undulating rim with four indentations. Curved sides tapering to oval well. Rim edged in scalloped gilt, underglaze blue border widening at intervals, decorated in gilt pattern of rings of small gilt dots and border of rococo scrolls. Main body painted with eight festoons of purple flowers suspended from larger of the gilt scrolls, and single sprays of pink and yellow flowers suspended between each festoon. Spray of different flowers and foliage in well.
