Summary

Public: Two soup bowls, soft paste porcelain, painted overglaze in pink, iron red and green enamels and gilt with foliage pattern. Private: Two shallow moulded soup bowls with wide footring, fluted well, sloping fluted sides and scalloped edge. Flat undersides. Decorated in well with central white panel, foliate sprig with red berries at its centre, gilt scalloped border. Surrounding this, wide border of continuous peacock feather motif in dark pink, surrounded by gilt scrolls and cross hatching. Rim of bowl decorated with bright green foliage and red berries, and continuous line of gilt scrolls, scrolls and tendrils of foliage reaching down side of well to centre at regular intervals, creating eight irregular shaped panels. Gilt rim.
