Summary

Public: Shallow cabbage leaf shaped bowl, soft paste porcelain, painted overglaze in blue, green, iron red, yellow, puce and purple enamels with flowers against a gilt striped ground. Private: Moulded bowl in the shape of two long overlapping cabbage leaves, stems overlapping at one end, moulded veins across upper surface. Irregular oval footring. Upper surface decorated with ground of curved narrow gilt stripes, following contour of bowl. Plain white border round edge with scalloped gilt border to rim. On top of gilt striped ground, scattered flowers and sprigs of flowers in enamels.
